Pros Decent price. Includes 5GB of online storage. Slim hard drive. Supports multiple PCs. Mac and Windows compatible.
Cons Only USB 2.0 interface. IDrive works best as an adjunct to IDrive’s online backup service.
Bottom Line The IDrive Portable is a faster, local alternative to users of IDrive’s online backup service: It will work without an Internet connection or if you need that file restored sooner rather than later. It’s a decent, if otherwise nondescript portable hard drive.
